About me
Born in Havana, Cuba.
She has an ABD (all but dissertation) in Technology in Education and Second Language Acquisition (TESLA) from the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida, USA.
Studied English language and literature at the University of Havana, and Spanish language and culture at the University of South Florida.
Loves writing poetry and short stories in Spanish. She was published and awarded best poetry in 2013 with the poem "El viaje" in the Hillsborough County Public Libraries poetry contest in Spanish in Tampa, Florida. Her short story "De camuflajes y otros destinos" was published in the Tampa magazine Classic Subversive in June, 2020.
Hobbies: photography, painting.
She lived 26 years in Cuba, 7 years in Mexico, and came to Tampa, USA in 2002, where she currently lives close to her family. She has been a Spanish high school teacher since 2005, and a university professor since 2012.
